For young women aged between 18 and 30 years of age.

For this Unit to re-open, we require 
a group of motivated young women 
who are willing to take on the challenge and responsibilities
of administering and participating in their very own Unit.

Lones is for young women aged 18-30 who cannot attend regular meetings for reasons of distance, work, studies, illness or any other reason.

Lones participate in a monthly Internet chat meeting with their counsellors (except for January, when we all have a holiday!).  We chat about news, information about events, hints for badges and more…  As with the younger age groups, each Lone contributes to the meeting.  There is also a unit website and Yahoo! group for displaying items.  For those with no access to the Internet a paper version of the news, chat etc is posted out.

Lones attend State, national and international events.  Lones work on badges, outdoor qualifications, the Duke of Edinburgh Award and the Olave Baden-Powell Award.  Many Lones also work in a leadership role with Guides.

You can give as little or as much of your time and interest to guides as YOU chose – and you will enjoy yourself in proportion to how much you put into it.
