Lone Southern Cross Guides (5-11)
For girls aged between 5 and 11 years of age.

Lone Guides brings the fun and friendship of Guiding into the homes of 5-11 year old girls who cannot attend regular Unit meetings for reasons of distance, isolation or any other reason.

Each member of the Lone Guide Unit receives her own copy of the Unit meeting eleven times a year.  The meetings usually have a theme and contain activities and challenges, games, puzzles, songs, badgework, recipes, ceremonies, handcrafts and more.  Above all, Lone Guides have FUN!

The Lone meeting also gives girls a sense of belonging with their name mentioned in the letter.  Family members are encouraged to assist the Guide with the activities.  Each Guide is expected to write to their Leader once a month and also return any work as requested.

Lone Guides have the opportunity to meet their Leaders and other Lone Guides at Lones Camp or other Guide activities.  They may also be invited to attend Guiding activities in their local area.

Additional information on how to join SA Lones and application forms can be obtained by sending us an email or completing the enquiry form.
